Electrocharge and Petrol to Build 200 EV Charging Stations
Sofia, December 8, 2025 – The EV charging network Electrocharge and the Petrol fuel station chain have launched a strategic partnership to expand Bulgaria’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Over the next three years, the partners plan to install more than 200 charging points along key highways, major roads, and urban locations.
The first completed site is at a Petrol station on Simeonovsko Shose Boulevard in Sofia’s Malinova Dolina district, featuring a 120 kW DC charger. The location was chosen for its convenient access to both the city network and the Ring Road.
The planned network expansion aims to provide more balanced coverage across the country and support the development of e-mobility through predictable and reliable infrastructure.
